PLASTIC NOT SO FANTASTIC // MAKE UP REMOVAL

So guys, I'll put my hands up and admit that I'm all about the low-maintance approach to skin care and yes, that means I don't cleanse, tone AND moisturise (despite this been sacrilege when you're in the 30's club).

Basically, I'm a fan of the good old face wipe/face cream/bed routine. So sue me?

It turns out that despite its simplicity, my skin routine is actually doing MORE damage than what I thought and not just to my face... Wipes and the 'oh so simple' cotton pads we use to so easily remove our make up are doing all sorts of damage to our environment.

So it's off to my fave Hull shop again / THE ECO SHED /  to find a replacement...

And hey presto.

These washable make up wipes are made by HONOUR YOUR FLOW (Girls,I'm sold on the name alone!)

They are washable, reusable wipes made from organic cotton velour and organic cotton fleece. They are dyed fun colours with eco-friendly natural dyes and they don't have any nasty, harsh chemicals in them, so sensitive souls like myself can use them without fear of an allergic reaction.

Possibly my favourite thing about these wipes is the fact that one set of them will cost you 6 quid and last several years! That's a saving of over three hundred pounds in ten years and all because you've stopped spending three pound a month or so, on disposable cotton pads or face wipes.

Take it from the laziest skincare enthusiast in town... These wipes are kind to your skin and to our planet, plus you can bung them in ya washing machine. It's just a no-brainer!

I have been totally converted. So goodbye face wipes (it's been great, but you're killing our planet) and hello to these dreamy soft re-usable cotton pads.

If you would like to purchase some reusable cotton pads amongst other things, then head down to The Eco Shed in Hull's Trinity Market or visit Honour your Flow

This is not an ad.
These companies are just little gems that I've found on my way to going Plastic-Free.

XOXO
